Blackfriars Asset Management Limited is a London-based investment boutique specializing in global and regional emerging markets equities, emerging markets debt and global fixed income.
Blackfriars Asset Management’s investment philosophy across all asset classes encompasses a team-based approach following a structured and repeatable investment process with a strong emphasis on risk management. A blend of both fundamental and quantitative techniques are used to add value from both top-down and bottom-up analysis. Stock and instrument selection is based on fundamental in-house analysis driving a portfolio construction process which incorporates clear sell disciplines.
An awareness of client requirements is central to the firm's goal of delivering investment performance in line with client expectations, create new products to fulfill client needs and, above all, develop strong and trusting relationships built up over many years.
*Blackfriars Asset Management was previously called WestLB Mellon Asset Management (UK) Limited when it was part of the WestLB Mellon Asset Management joint venture between WestLB AG and The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation. It became a wholly owned, independent investment boutique of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation on December 31, 2008.
Blackfriars Asset Management is registered as an investment adviser under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
