Process
Using a blend of computer systems and investment expertise, Franklin Portfolio Associates monitors the investment fundamentals of approximately 4,000 domestic securities. Computer technology first creates a list of "buy" candidates from those currently ranked by the Franklin Portfolio Associates system in the highest decile of the universe; then uses a portfolio optimizer and risk control system to select portfolio holdings. Franklin Portfolio Associates continually tests and analyzes its models and weightings, and is always looking for improvements in its valuation methods.
